Newcastlemax ore carrier delivered to China’s Shandong Shipping

China's Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) has delivered a Newcastlemax bulk carrier to local state-owned company Shandong Shipping Corporation (SDSC).

Shandong Xin Shidai ("Shandong New Era") has an LOA of 299.68 metres, a beam of 50 metres, and a depth of 25.2 metres. It will be used to transport iron ore from Australia to China.

The newbuild has been granted the Smart Ship (Smart Engine Room, Smart Energy Efficiency) and Ship Cyber ​​Security (S) notations by the China Classification Society.
