MOL orders coal carrier pair from Oshima Shipbuilding

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has ordered two coal carriers in a series from Oshima Shipbuilding.

The 89,900DWT vessels will operate under contracts with Electric Power Development and Hokuriku Electric Power to supply coal from overseas to the two companies' power plants in Japan.

Each coal carrier will have an LOA of approximately 235 metres, a beam of 38 metres, and a depth of 20.05 metres.
