Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) took delivery of a new bulk carrier from Imabari Shipbuilding on Tuesday, February 8.

Stellar Symphony will be used by MOL to transport wood chips for Marusumi Paper Company under a long-term charter.

The newbuild measures 199.96 by 32.24 metres and has a total cargo capacity of approximately 102,600 cubic metres.

The ship is also equipped with a microplastic recovery system that uses a filter with a backwash function to efficiently collect microplastics that have been repaired in the filter before they are discharged overboard. This recovery system is part of the ballast water management system.
