MK Centennial Maritime adds new bulker to fleet

Netherlands-based MK Centennial Maritime, a subsidiary of Meiji Group, took delivery of a new bulk carrier on Tuesday, June 30.

The 61,000DWT Ultra Vision was completed at the facilities of Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (DACKS), a joint venture formed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) and China COSCO Shipping.

The LR-classed newbuild has an LOA of 199.9 metres, a moulded beam of 32.24 metres, a moulded draught of 13 metres, and a total cargo capacity of 77,539 cubic metres. One MAN B&W 6S50ME-B9.3 8,130kW diesel engine delivers a speed of 14.5 knots.

Ultra Vision will sail under the Panamanian flag.
