China's Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard handed over a new offshore heavy transport ship to German owner United Wind Logistics (UWL) on Friday, October 23.
Bravewind has an LOA of 148.5 metres, a beam of 28 metres, a deck area of 3,600 square metres, a deadweight of 10,000 tonnes, and an all-electric propulsion system that delivers a speed of 13 knots.
As with sister vessel Boldwind, Bravewind will be chartered by MHI Vestas Offshore Wind to transport wind turbines and related components.
