Japanese yard delivers 200,000DWT bulker

Japan Marine United (JMU) delivered a new bulk carrier to an unnamed owner on Tuesday, February 16.

Named Southern Cross, the NK-classed newbuild has an LOA of 299.99 metres, a beam of 50 metres, a draught of 18.4 metres, a deadweight of 208,670 tonnes, and space for 25 crewmembers. One MAN B&W 7S65ME-C8.5 diesel engine delivers a speed of 14.5 knots.

The vessel will sail under the Panamanian flag.
