Ukraine-based company Nibulon has launched its Nibulonivets-2 non-self-propelled floating crane at its shipbuilding and repair yard at Mykolayiv.
The 38.5-metre floating crane, which has a total capacity of up to 500,000 tonnes annually, has a 12-metre beam and a 1.85-metre draught.
It will operate with a Terex Fuchs mobile loading machine and have the capacity to load 4,000 tonnes a day.
The non-self-propelled crane and loader will perform loading and unloading operations at the transshipment terminal, and load non-self-propelled vessels to the full load on the Dnipro River.
After the mounting of electric equipment, insulation, and completion of living quarters, the vessel will undergo mooring and sea trials.
All hull parts were produced in a new metal-processing workshop with plasma cutting and gas cutting machines.
