German shipping company Elbe-Ems has ordered a second combination carrier in a series from the Damen Shipyards Group.
The vessel will be a near identical sister of Elbe-Ems' Sophie (pictured), which began operating in European waters in September 2021.
The newbuilding will be named Jan Laurenz and will be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year. Construction will take place at Damen Yichang Shipyard in China.
