Diana Shipping extends time charter contract for Kamsarmax bulker

Diana Shipping, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, has extended the present time charter contract with Netherlands-based Glencore Agriculture for the 81,513DWT Astarte, one of its Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels.

The gross charter rate is US$14,250 per day, minus a five per cent commission paid to third parties, for a period of minimum 14 months to maximum 17 months.

The new charter period commenced on Tuesday, October 16.

Astarte was initially chartered at a gross charter rate of US$9,000 per day, minus a five per cent commission paid to third parties.
