CSL-Hartmann, a joint venture formed by Canada's CSL Group and German shipowner Hartmann Group, has taken delivery of a new self-unloading bulk carrier.

Starnes is the first of two vessels ordered by CSL-Hartmann from China Shipbuilding Chengxi Ship Repair. It has a deadweight of 40,000 tonnes, a speed of 14 knots, and is capable of unloading as much as 5,500 tonnes of cargo per hour.

Starnes is currently en route to Hamburg. Shortly after arrival, it will join six Hartmann-owned self-unloading ships in transporting aggregates on routes throughout Europe.
