Taiwan's Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation welcomed a newbuild vessel to its fleet of chartered containerships on Tuesday, July 27.
YM Travel was built by Imabari Shipbuilding for Japanese owner Shoei Kisen Kaisha. It is the sixth in a series of vessels to be delivered to Yang Ming.
The vessel has a length of 333.9 metres, a beam of 48.4 metres, a draught of 16 metres, a speed of 23 knots, and a nominal capacity of 11,860 TEUs plus 1,000 reefer containers.
YM Travel will join THE Alliance's trans-Pacific service PS6 on Friday, July 30. The port rotation covers Qingdao, Ningbo, Pusan, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Kobe.
