United Heavy Lift expands fleet with 14,000DWT newbuild

United Heavy Lift (UHL) officially welcomed a new vessel to its fleet on Monday, January 18.

The DNV GL-classed UHL Faith is the first in a series of eight vessels to be built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) for the Hamburg-based operator. It has an LOA of 149.99 metres, a beam of 25.6 metres, a summer draught of 8.3 metres, a deadweight of 14,100 tonnes, two 450-tonne cranes, and a maximum speed of 15 knots.

The ship can transport both containerised and general cargo, with capacities of 1,001 TEUs and 23,600 cubic metres, respectively.

UHL Faith has Finnish ice class 1A notation and is registered under the flag of Portugal.
