SITC orders two container ships

On June 26, 2018, SITC Shipowning ordered two container vessels from Yanzijiang Shipyard.

SITC paid a combined price of US$58 million for the two ships.

Both ships will have a capacity of at least 34,800 tonnes.

Delivery of the first vessel is expected to be made by the end of September, 2020, while delivery of the second vessel is expected to be made by the end of November that year.

SITC currently has another four ships under construction at Yanzijiang Shipyard.
