Hong Kong-based Seaspan Corporation has accepted delivery of the 11,000TEU container ship MSC Yashi B.
MSC Yashi B will begin a bareboat charter with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) for a period of 17 years from next month.
Upon completion of the bareboat charter period, MSC is obligated to buy the vessel for a pre-determined amount.
MSC Yashi B, which was constructed at the HHIC-PHIL shipyard in the Philippines, is Seaspan's fifth 11,000TEU SAVER-design container ship in a series of five ships under bareboat charter to MSC.
