Netherlands’ Bore christens LNG-fueled Ro-Lo newbuild

Netherlands-based cargo shipping company Bore, a company under the Spliethoff Group, recently christened its newest Ro-Lo vessel.

Designed by Conoship International and built by Wuhu Shipyard in China, Bore Way has a length of 120 metres, a deadweight of 7,000 tonnes, a speed of 15 knots, and Swedish/Finnish ice class 1A notation. The vessel will be capable of transporting Ro-Ro, container, and project cargo.

The newbuild will operate under a long-term charter with UPM, a paper products company headquartered in Helsinki.
