Tokyo-based Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has accepted the delivery of the 14,000TEU containership Milano Bridge at the Hiroshima shipyard of Imabari Shipbuilding.
The 146,931DWT newbuild ultra-large containership (ULCS) is the same design as the series delivered in 2015 and the first ship of the second generation.
The 365.9-metre ship with 51.2-metre beam and 15.5-metre draught will be deployed on the Asia-Mediterranean service (MED2) under The Alliance.
K Line has five ULCS vessels scheduled for delivery this year, bringing the total to 10 units.
