Hapag Lloyd, ONE to launch Middle East-India-Africa service

Hapag Lloyd and Ocean Network Express (ONE) are set to launch a new weekly cargo service covering India, Sri Lanka, Africa, and the region surrounding the Arabian Gulf.

Five 2,800TEU vessels from Hapag-Lloyd and four similar vessels from ONE will sail on the Middle East-India-Africa Express (MIAX) service, which is scheduled to commence in October of this year.

Each MIAX rotation will begin and end at Jebel Ali and will include Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Colombo, La Reunion, Durban, Cape Town, Tema, and Lagos.
