Finnish operator Langh Ship recently completed the purchase of two 889TEU container vessels from an unnamed German owner.

The ice class 1A vessels Charlotta and Christina were built in China in 2009 and 2010, respectively, and are suitable for navigation in the Baltic Sea even during the winter months.

The vessels are now time-chartered to French shipowner CMA CGM. Christina is currently employed on the Gdynia-Tilbury line while Charlotta is in the liner trade in the Mediterranean.

These are the sixth and seventh vessels to join the Langh fleet. Both currently sail under the Portuguese flag.
