Athens-based Euroseas has awarded South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard separate contracts for the construction of two feeder containerships in a series.
The 2,800TEU vessels are scheduled for delivery in the first and second quarters of 2023, respectively.
Euroseas said the total consideration for these two newbuilding contracts is about US$76 million, which will be financed with a combination of debt and equity.
