CMA CGM names fifth ULCS in series

CMA CGM has formally named the fifth ultra-large containership (ULCS) in a series ordered from the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group.

Like its sisters, CMA CGM Adonis was designed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) subsidiary 708 Research Institute. Once completed, the 366- by 51-metre vessel will be able to transport 15,536 TEUs.

The vessel was designed in compliance to Bureau Veritas class rules.
