China State Shipbuilding Corporation's (CSSC) Jiangnan Shipyard has handed over a new LNG-powered ultra large container vessel (ULCV) to CMA CGM.

Named after a famed hill on the outskirts of Paris, CMA CGM Montmartre is the sixth in a series of LNG-powered vessels ordered by the French shipowner.

The ULCV has a length of 400 metres, a beam of 61 metres, capacity for 23,000 TEUs, and two WinGD LNG dual-fuel engines. It will be operated on CMA CGM's new Asia-Europe FAL1 service.
