APM Terminals Pipavav approves port expansion plan

The board of APM Terminals Pipavav has approved an expansion plan that seeks to upgrade the port's existing facilities.

The project is expected to make India's Port Pipavav capable of handling bigger ships and increase its annual container capacity from 1.35 million to 1.6 million TEUs.

The expansion has an estimated cost of INR6.95 trillion (US$95 billion).
