South Korean yard to build 91,000cbm VLGC trio for European owner

South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) has been awarded a ₩265 billion (US$234.5 million) contract for the construction of three very large gas carriers (VLGCs) for an undisclosed European shipowner.

The vessels will each have an LPG dual-fuel propulsion system and a total cargo capacity of 91,000 cubic metres of LPG.

Delivery of all three ships is scheduled for the second half of 2023.
