South Korea’s TaiYoung adds second 3,700DWT newbuild to fleet

South Korea's TaiYoung Shipping took delivery of a new cargo vessel from Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard in China on Thursday, January 21.

TY Pony is the second in a series of 3,700DWT ships built by Jiangsu Zhenjiang for TaiYoung. The first vessel in the series, TY Bonny, was delivered in December 2020.

The vessel has a length of 77 metres, a beam of 7.5 metres, and a draught of 5.8 metres. It will be used to transport steel products, machinery, and general cargo between Incheon and the Japanese ports of Yokohama, Kobe, Osaka, and Nagoya.
