Castor Maritime, through a separate wholly owned subsidiary, has entered into an agreement to purchase a Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier from an unaffiliated third party.

The unnamed vessel, which was built in South Korea in 2010, was purchased for US$15.45 million.

The acquisition is expected to be consummated by taking delivery of the vessel within the second quarter of this year and is subject to the satisfaction of certain customary closing conditions.
