The United Nations' International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has donated five patrol boats to the Philippine Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).

The 8.2-metre vessels are of FRP construction and are each powered by one outboard engine.

The boats will be used to deter illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing in the waters off the east-central Philippine provinces of Biliran, Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, and Southern Leyte.
