Italy has gifted the Libyan Navy the patrol boat Fezzan as part of the two countries' joint cooperation to combat illegal immigration and human trafficking.
Italy announced provision of the vessel in July to enhance Libya's coastal monitoring capabilities.
A second boat is expected to arrive next month as part of an agreement to supply Libya with 12 patrol vessels.
