The Indian Coast Guard commissioned two more fast patrol vessels (FPVs) into service in a ceremony in Kolkata on Sunday, January 12.
ICGS Annie Besant and ICGS Amrit Kaur are the second and third Priyadarshini-class vessels built for the Indian Coast Guard by local shipyard Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE).
Each FPV has an LOA of 50 metres, a beam of 7.5 metres, a full load displacement of 308 tonnes, a crew of 35, and a maximum speed of 34 knots.
