Indian Coast Guard commissions fast patrol vessel Priyadarshini

The newbuild fast patrol vessel (FPV) ICGS Priyadarshini was commissioned into service by the Indian Coast Guard on Friday, April 26.

Delivered in March by state-owned Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Priyadarshini is the first of a planned five Rajshree-class flight II FPVs.

The vessel has a length of 50 metres, a beam of 7.5 metres, a crew of 35, and a maximum speed of 34 knots. It will be deployed on maritime security, anti-poaching, anti-smuggling, and rescue missions.
