The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Danish Ministry of Defence have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the construction of new multi-purpose vessels for the Ukrainian government.

The 84-metre vessels will be designed and built in Ukraine with the assistance of a consortium of Danish companies. More than 50 per cent locally-built content will be incorporated in the newbuildings.

The vessels' missions will include surveillance, sovereignty patrols, search and rescue, and hydrographic surveys.
