CMSA’s newest command vessel to operate on Yangtze River

The China Maritime Safety Administration (CMSA) has placed a new command-and-control vessel in service on the Yangtze River.

Haishi 01 ("Marine 01") has an LOA of 65 metres, a beam of 11.8 metres, and a range of 1,300 kilometres.
Secondary missions will include search and rescue (SAR) and maritime law enforcement patrols. For the SAR role, the vessel is equipped with small unmanned vehicles.

The vessel also has a unified communications system that integrates VHF radio, video phone, video conferencing, video surveillance, and intercom functions in a single system.

Haishi 01 was built in compliance to China Classification Society rules.
