The Russian Navy has taken delivery of a new Project 636.3 diesel-electric submarine from Admiralty Shipyard of Saint Petersburg.
Named Volkhov, it will be assigned to the Russian Pacific Fleet alongside sister submarine Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Commissioning of Volkhov is scheduled before the end of November 2020.
