Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders has floated out the final one of six Kalvari-class diesel-electric submarines being built for the Indian Navy.

The future INS Vagsheer will then undergo further outfitting followed by harbour trials. This will then be followed by acceptance trials to prepare the submarine for delivery to the navy in 2023.

Like its Kalvari-class sisters, the future Vagsheer is a development of the Scorpene-class submarines designed and built by France's the Naval Group.
