Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) recently launched the second KSS-3 or Dosan Ahn Changho-class diesel-electric cruise missile submarine slated for the South Korean Navy.

The future ROKS Ahn Mu has been named in honour of a famed Korean general who led pro-independence forces to victory over Japanese occupation forces at the Battle of Bongo-dong in June 1920.

Once completed, the submarine will have a length of 83.3 metres, a hull diameter of 9.6 metres, a displacement of 3,000 tonnes, and space for 50 officers and enlisted sailors.
