The US Navy has christened its newest Independence-variant littoral combat ship, the future USS Cincinnati (LCS 20 at Austal USA in Mobile, Alabama.
The future USS Cincinnati is the fifth US Navy ship to honour Ohio's third largest city.
The 127.4-metre by 31.6-metre vessel has an operating speed of 40 knots and top speed of 47 knots.
The 3,104DWT vessel has a range of 4,300 nautical miles at 20 knots.
