The Taiwanese government commissioned a pair of ex-US Navy Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided missile frigates on Thursday, November 8.

Ex-USS Taylor (pictured) and Ex-USS Gary have been recommissioned as ROCS Ming-chuan and ROCS Feng Jia, respectively.

These two frigates join the Republic of China Navy's eight Cheng Kung-class ships which are themselves based on the Oliver Hazard Perry-class and were built under license by China Shipbuilding Corporation in Kaohsiung.
