United Shipbuilding Corporation's (USC) Severnaya Verf and the Russian Navy's Northern Fleet have begun state trials of the new Project 22350 or Admiral Gorshkov-class frigate Admiral Flota Kasatonov.

Tested during the trials were the ship's main engines and communications and navigation systems. Testing of the frigate's weapons and its suitability for helicopter operations will take place in November.

Admiral Flota Kasatonov is scheduled for delivery and commissioning later this year.
