The South Korean Navy has formally welcomed its fourth Yangyang-class minesweeper into service.

Named after a county in South Gyeongsang province, ROKS Namhae measures 59 by 10 metres and is capable of speeds of up to 15 knots. Its initial operational deployment will be in February 2022 following additional trials.

Two additional ships from the same class are under various stages of construction at the Busan shipyard of Kangnam Corporation.
