ST Engineering's marine business in Singapore has been awarded a sub-contract by Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) for the supply of design, platform equipment, and technical assistance for the construction of four Falaj 3-class offshore patrol vessels for the UAE Navy.
The contract covers the basic, detail design, and production design of the vessels. Technical assistance will be provided to ADSB during the construction of the lead vessel in the class.
The Falaj 3-class ships will be modernised variants of the Fearless-class patrol vessels that ST Engineering built for the Republic of Singapore Navy in the 1990s.
