Senegalese Navy’s third Shaldag Mark II patrol boat begins sea trials

Israel Shipyards has begun conducting sea trials of a new patrol boat ordered by Senegal.

The vessel is the third Shaldag Mark II patrol boat to be built for the Senegalese Navy. It has a length of 25.3 metres, a beam of six metres, and a design speed of 45 knots.

Armament will include anti-ship missiles, a 23-millimetre cannon, and two machine guns of up to 12.7-millimetre calibre.

Delivery is scheduled for later this year.
