French shipbuilder the Naval Group has completed conducting sea trials of the final one of four Kership-class offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) slated for the Argentine Navy.

The future ARA Contraalmirante Cordero is presently undergoing preparations for delivery to Argentina in April 2022.

Like its Kership-class sisters in Argentine service, the future Contraalmirante Cordero measures 87 metres long and is armed with a 30-millimetre naval gun. Missions will include maritime border security and fisheries enforcement patrols.
