The Russian Navy has commissioned its first Project 20385 corvette into service.

Built by the Severnaya Verf shipyard of United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), Gremyashchiy ("Thunderous") will be used primarily for anti-surface warfare and anti-submarine warfare missions. It is also designed to provide support for amphibious landings.

The corvette, which has been assigned to the Russian Pacific Fleet, is the fifth Russian Navy ship to be named Gremyashchiy.
