Pella Shipyard in St. Petersburg will float out the third small missile ship under Project 22800 on Tuesday, October 23.

Named Burya, the vessel was constructed under Russia's State Military Shipbuilding Programme which also calls for updating the Russian Navy's surface fleet with ships carrying high-precision missiles and modern gun systems.

The Project 22800 small missile ships are designed by the Central Marine Design Bureau Almaz. The vessels each have a displacement of 725 tonnes, a speed of 30 knots, and a range of 2,600 nautical miles.
