Fincantieri launched a new warship into the water at its Muggiano facilities on Saturday, February 13.

Named Damsah, the vessel is the second Doha-class corvette that Fincantieri is building for the Qatari Emiri Navy.

On the same day as Damsah's launching, Fincantieri laid the keel for Sumaysimah, the fourth ship in the Doha-class.

Delivery of the two sisters is scheduled for 2022 and 2023, respectively. Each completed corvette will have a length of 107 metres, a beam of 14.7 metres, space for 112 crewmembers, and a combined diesel and diesel (CODAD) powerplant that will deliver a maximum speed of 28 knots.
