Keels laid for five Padma-class patrol vessels for Bangladesh Navy

Khulna Shipyard has laid the keels of five Padma-class patrol vessels slated for the Bangladesh Navy.

Each vessel will have a length of 50.4 metres, a beam of 7.5 metres, a draught of 1.9 metres, a full load displacement of 270 tonnes, and a maximum speed of 23 knots. Armament will consist of twin 37-millimetre naval guns and two 20-millimetre autocannons.

The patrol vessels will be the sixth through tenth Padma-class ships to be built for the Bangladesh Navy.
