The damaged Royal Norwegian Navy frigate HNoMS Helge Ingstad has almost completely submerged in the waters off Oygarden following a collision with an oil tanker in the same area a week prior.

Parts of the mast and aft deck are the only portions of the ship that remain above water as of Tuesday, November 13.

Attempts to salvage the warship by tethering it with several cables to the shore have failed. Wires broke with each attempt, and Helge Ingstad has sunk at least a metre further.

Norwegian authorities are still working to salvage the frigate despite these recent setbacks.
