Fincantieri, Lockheed Martin deliver littoral combat ship Indianapolis

The consortium consisting of Fincantieri, through subsidiary Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM), and Lockheed Martin has delivered the future littoral combat ship (LCS) USS Indianapolis to the US Navy.

The vessel, which honours the capital city of Indiana, is the ninth Freedom-class LCS.

Commissioning of the future Indianapolis is scheduled for October 26 of this year.
