Last week, the Royal Netherlands Navy patrol vessel HNLMS Groningen forced a go-fast boat to stop west of the island of Aruba after it was spotted along a well-known Caribbean smuggling route.

A navy boarding team later discovered that the suspect boat had 455 kilograms of cocaine on board.

The three suspected smugglers, the drugs, and two confiscated firearms were later handed over by Groningen's crew to a US Coast Guard vessel.
