Germany's Bundeswehr took delivery of the F125 frigate Baden-Württemberg on Tuesday, April 30.

Delivered by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft (ARGE) F125 consortium of ThyssenKrupp and Lürssen, the vessel is scheduled to be commissioned in June after further sea trials and safety tests.

Baden-Württemberg has a length of 149.52 metres, a beam of 18.8 metres, a draught of five metres, a speed of 20 knots, and a flight deck capable of accommodating two helicopters. Its armament consists of a 127-millimetre naval gun, two 27-millimetre autocannons, seven 12.7-millimetre machine guns, and Harpoon anti-ship missiles.

Three more F125 frigates are currently undergoing fitting out. All are scheduled to be delivered within the year.
