Mexican shipbuilder Astillero de Marina 1 (Astimar 1) has launched Tabasco, the final one of eight Oaxaca-class offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) ordered for the Mexican Navy.

The vessel has a length of 86 metres, a beam of 10.5 metres, a displacement of 1,680 tonnes, a crew of 114, and a speed of 20 knots.

Like its sisters, Tabasco is designed to accommodate one helicopter, one 16-metre assault boat, and two 11-metre fast interceptor boats.
